By participating in Citizen or Community Science projects, James River Master Naturalists, along with members of the public, collect data that scientists can use in research.

Free online database of bird 

observations providing scientists, researchers and amateur naturalists with real-time data about bird distribution and abundance.

Free online social network of people sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature. Upload photos and audio recordings, use computer vision to help with IDs, view and identify the observations of others, etc.
